Nurse Abby Gregg and Mrs. Kela Johnston present a sign about medical suspension

Approximately 200 MV students are out of medical compliance. Physicals and or shot records need to be turned into the nurses office as soon as possible.

On October 12, if students are out of medical compliance, they will receive a letter stating that they cannot come to school on October 15th if they haven’t turned in your records.

According to Mrs. Kela Johnston, nurse’s assistant, the students that are out of medical compliance have been notified up to ten times.

The notifications that upcoming medical suspension was looming overhead started going out at the end of last school year and have continued this year.

These requirements are state mandated; the nurse’s office has no say over who needs what.

If students are out of medical compliance and are suspended, the suspension will count against their attendance and semester exam exemptions.

This mainly affects freshman and seniors. However there are a couple of sophomores and juniors out of medical compliance as well.
