Over the past few weeks, students have been a buzz about Student Council announcing class songs. No one knew how they were going to come about, or how they were going to be decided. All that was known was that students were excited.

On September 21, Student Council sent out an email for students to submit what they wanted their class song to be.

The submissions were condensed into three songs and on September 25, another email was sent out to the student body to cast their final votes for their class song.

Freshmen had the options of “Sugar We’re Goin Down” by Fall Out Boy,Location” by  Khalid, and “Baby” by Justin Bieber.

Sophomore’s voted between “Whatever It Takes” by Imagine Dragons,We Are The Champions” by Queen, and “Yes Indeed” (clean) by Drake and Lil Baby.

Juniors selected between “Hollaback Girl” by Gwen Stefani, “M.O.N.E.Y” by Rocko, and “Wake Me Up” by Avicii.

Seniors picked between “Can’t Hold Us” by Macklemore, “We’re All In This Together by High School Musical, and “Nonstop” (Clean) by Drake.

All classes were divided on what to pick as their class song. Some classes wanted the light-hearted funny songs, while other classes wanted the more personal songs that reflected the experiences and struggles that class had gone through.

The classes have voted and the results were announced at the Homecoming Pep Rally on October 5.Class of 2022: “Location,” by Khalid. Class of 2021:“Yes Indeed,” by Drake and Lil Baby.  Class of 2020: “M.O.N.E.Y,” by Rocko. Class of 2019 “Nonstop,” by Drake.
