The Jefferson County Chamber of Commerce holds a competition to recognize teachers in Jefferson County to feel appreciated. The competition begins a few weeks before the new month and as teachers get nominated, students should vote for their favorite teacher on the Jefferson County Chamber of Commerce.
Mrs. Evan stated “ I try to be a positive role model for all of my classes, I mostly come into the classroom with a smile, and an overall greeting and I try to greet each student individually as well.”
“ I think it’s a great idea to share a smile with students, and give out a compliment or two if needed,” added Mrs. Evans
