New year, new students, and new teachers.

MV has welcomed several new teachers for this school year.

Students have been looking forward to the new school year but what about two of our new teachers, Braden Ziegler and Autumn Ziegler?

The married couple formerly taught at Rome Grade School, with Mr. Ziegler teaching 8th grade and Mrs.Ziegler teaching kindergarten.

The jump from grade school teaching to high school is a big change.

“There is a higher number of total students, a more diverse pool of learners,” explained Braden Ziegler, Freshman Academy Math.

Mr. Ziegler goes on, “I’ve always wanted to teach math, high school freshman math specifically”.

Mr.Ziegler also hopes to curate a classroom of respect, meaningful relationships, and positivity.

MV welcomes both teachers into our great collection of staff.

“I’ve only ever heard great things about working here”, expressed Autumn Ziegler-CTE.

So how do the Zieglers plan on keeping up with their students and their education needs?

“I enjoy prepping students to be teachers, equipping them with those skills,” said Autumn Ziegler.

Individuals hope to welcome them comfortably into the high school.

“I appreciate how Mount Vernon has welcomed us with open arms and supported us and our respected positions,” says Braden Ziegler.
