Over the summer, six new teachers joined the Ram Family and became teachers at MV.
One of these educators is Mrs. Erika Kitowski, who joined the Family and Consumer Science Department and has gotten the year off to a nice start.
“It has been wonderful getting to know my students and seeing their enthusiasm for learning. I’m enjoying establishing routines and building a positive classroom environment,” said Mrs. Kitowski.
It is always important to know the direction educators would like their students to go in their classroom.
“Figuring out the best ways to engage every student can sometimes be challenging. My primary focus for every student at MVTHS is to learn to their fullest ability in my classes. It has been a rewarding experience and I’m looking forward to growing alongside my students as the year progresses,” stated Mrs. Kitowski.
When one gets a new job, there are many things to look positively on.
“I love the diversity and being able to see every student find their place or group to fit into. There are so many fantastic clubs and organizations at MVTHS and it gives every student the chance to shine in their passion and bring out the best of their talents. My fellow teaching staff at MVTHS has also been fantastic in helping to adjust and guide me into my first year teaching,” said Mrs. Kitowski.
Mrs. Kitowski has gained much experience in the world of education.
“I graduated from Waltonville High School in 2015, and I graduated with my Bachelors in Healthcare Management and in 2018 my Master’s in Administration,” stated Mrs. Kitowski.
Sometimes swapping occupations can be a difficult decision, but it was a surefire choice for Mrs. Kitowski.
“I have spent the last 10 years working in healthcare. I have seen so many young people go into the healthcare setting lacking the information that they need to succeed in life. I felt the passion to further my career in teaching and receive my teaching license to assist this generation in achieving their goals. I have never felt more sure about my decision to teach at MVTHS,” stated Mrs. Kitowski.
