Recently Future released a new album with 17 tracks, “Mixtape Pluto”, on September 20.
Future is an upcoming rap artist, originally from Atlanta, Georgia.
He has been rising in fame over the years with hit albums such as, “We Don’t Trust You”, in collaboration with Metro Boomin released in April of this year in the mix with the controversy over Drake.
Future’s album “I Never Liked You” debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 chart in May 2022, and all 16 tracks from the album also appeared on the Billboard Hot 100.
Future’s first number-one song was a Drake song, with Future carrying the song with his feature on “Way 2 Sexy”.
His first two studio albums, Pluto (2012) and Honest (2014), were both met with critical and commercial success, spawning the platinum-certified singles “Turn On the Lights”, “Honest”, “Move That Dope” (featuring Pharrell Williams and Pusha T), and “I Won” (featuring Kanye West).
Although Future started out small only performing at small venues, he’s now a bigger artist and is going on tours.
Future’s most recent tour was the 2024 We Trust You Tour, which he co-headlined with producer Metro Boomin.
The tour began on July 30, 2024, in Kansas City, Missouri, and ended on September 9, 2024, in Vancouver, British Columbia.
The tour supported their collaborative albums We Don’t Trust You and We Still Don’t Trust You, both of which debuted at number one on the Billboard 200.
The tour included a festival performance at Lollapalooza in Chicago on August 3, 2024.
The duo previewed the tour at Rolling Loud California on March 17, 2024, debuting three new songs and other big artists such as Travis Scott, Quavo, and Don Toliver.
Future-made hints to going on tour with the album if it does well.
His tracks from the album have already landed in the Billboard 100 following the release.
Individuals argue that his past few albums have been better, and say that the album was rushed and not carefully curated.
There is debate that Future is more sentimental in this album and has shown deeper meaning.
Wheezy and Southside made the beats on the album and the reviews on that end were outstanding as usual.
When listening to Mixtape Pluto the flow is quick and wordy to where there is no room for guest features, which shows his strong skills for carrying a good flow.
Future is known to carry that flow and has that “Toxic” label on him, and it shows throughout the album.
Even though we don’t get to hear Future’s usual accomplice, Metro Boomin, the album is still a good listen.
