Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice. Second Installment of Beloved Film Debuts September 6
“Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice.” Beetlejuice, the sequel made its run in theaters on September 6. With Halloween approaching more and more people are watching this new movie.
The first movie, Beetlejuice was released March 20, 1988, starring Michael Keaton as Beetlejuice, who also returned for the sequel.
The new movie had some differences and similarities.
“In both movies, they are trying to get rid of Beetlejuice. And overall, the movie was weird/strange,” said Liyah Fraiser, ‘25
Mr. Jeremey Mays, Communication Arts, shared what he loves about the original movie, “The practical special effects and stop-motion special effects.”
The new movie had tried to get the original cast as well as some newer stars like Jenna Ortega. Jenna Ortega played Astrid Deetz, Lydia’s daughter in the new movie. And Michael Keaton and Tim Burton were both returning from the original that Mr. Mays loved.
“I am a HUGE fan of the original, Michael Keaton, and Tim Burton,” Mr. Mays said.
The sequel was directed by Tim Burton, just like the original was.
“It was very ongoing, there was never a time where I was bored. It was a very intriguing movie,” Fraiser said.
Overall, the movie has a lot of good reviews.
“I would recommend watching both movies if you like strange,” Fraiser stated.
