As Halloween approaches, MV students and staff are preparing for all things related to the Spooky Season.
Fall is a very memorable season, and everyone has that one fall memory from their past that they will always remember.
Mrs. Holly Davis,Communication Arts, said, “I’ve had 41 falls in my life, so I have so many memories! When I was in high school, we “corn stalked” our cheerleading coach (Like teepeeing But with corn stalks from a field). As an adult, I enjoyed the first time that I took my daughter and her friends teepeeing because they thought they were being so bad and breaking the law.”
Mrs. Amie Evans, Special Education, stated how her favorite fall memory was Friday night football games, cooking chili, and when she was on homecoming court at Chester High School in 1984.
McKenzie Delatore, ‘25,said “ My favorite fall memory has to be when me and my sister went apple picking, or decorating my car for Halloween.”
There are lots of fun activities that come with fall.
“TP’ing is my favorite fall activity because it is funny and creates a sense of community,” stated Tarrah Sneddon, ‘25.
Logan Armstrong, ‘26, said, “I Like going to haunted houses, I love getting scared with my friends.”
Delatore stated, “I love being outside so one of the best things to do in my opinion is carve pumpkins outside with a hot coffee.”
Halloween is a night filled with scary costumes and candy. MV students and staff have spoken about what they will be wearing and what their favorite and least favorite treats to receive on Halloween might be.
Sneddon said she and her friend Mazie Eilerts, ‘25, will be dressing up as Gru and Vector from Despicable Me.

Mrs. Evans said her favorite Halloween treats are caramel apples, and lollipops, and her least favorite Halloween candy is Candy Corn.
Halloween Movies are a big part of Halloween and fall because of the different genres of movies.
“ Personally I love all Tim Burton movies, but Friday the 13th is one of my all time favorite halloween movies.” stated, Delatore.
“ I love Hocus Pocus and Halloween Town because they remind me of being little,” said Sneddon.
One question that everyone has their own opinion about is how old is too old to trick or treat?
Delatore stated, “ Personally I think 14 or 15 is too old to trick or treat, but you are never too old to dress up.”
Sneddon added, “ Never too old… free candy is free candy.”
