As summer creeps closer, we asked a few students what’s on their ultimate summer bucket list.
From local adventures to classic summer must-dos, their answers ranged from wholesome family time to wild goals—and maybe you’ll find a few ideas to add to your own list too.
For Kylon Brown, 27’, this summer is all about connection and simple joys.
“Hang out with my family,” Brown said without hesitation.
Brown is also looking forward to low-cost activities like “picnics, painting, and swimming.”
Brown even has a personal goal: learning to do a front flip.
Another bucket list item?
“Trying Louisiana food,” Brown added.
Tyler Jones, 27’ is planning for an action-packed break.
“I’m gonna go to a bunch of amusement parks and hang out with my friends,” Jones said.
He’s also hosting a swim party at his house.
Jones aims to check a major thrill off his list: riding The Voyage, a legendary roller coaster.
Jones focused on staying healthy over the summer, too.
“I want to stay in shape and stay active,” Jones said.
Carter Burns, 27’ took a more spontaneous approach.
Burns’ plans?
“Party, take trips, and never be in the house,” Burns said.
For fun on a budget, Burns mentioned simply “driving around” as one of his favorite ways to pass the time.
Burns’ creative summer goals include “getting my license.”
And, in what may or may not have been a joke, Burns threw in the quirky goal of “becoming 6’5″”
You don’t need a plane ticket or a huge budget to have an unforgettable summer.
Like these students showed, it’s all about trying something new, having fun with friends, and making memories that’ll last way beyond August.
So—what’s on your bucket list?
