We’re back in business!!

School started again, back on August 13, 2021, and the end of the first quarter is approaching rapidly. The beginning of the school year can be different for everyone … from how they react to everything they experience. But I’d like to tell you how it has been for me in particular – all the details of this school year so far.

The first day of school was … embarrassing. I fell down bleachers, stairs, and I tripped over my own feet. Walking through the hallway was confusing because there were so many people surrounding me. I felt a bit claustrophobic. People walked into me as if I wasn’t even there. I know now to not try to avoid people. I just walk like I know where I am going and I don’t stop for anyone. People get out of my way when I do that (lol)!

Towards the beginning of the year, it was stressful, as it is for most. But it was stressful for me because I am a sophomore and I was full remote last year, so I didn’t know where anything was and it wasn’t all around the same spot as it is for Freshman Academy. I didn’t know what to expect, or what I was doing. I walked around not knowing where I was going and it was hard to figure out what to do. I had to learn my teacher’s names and how to pronounce them. I still have trouble with that sometimes.

Then, after a couple of weeks, say, the second week of school, I got the hang of everything and knew where all my classes were and how to get to them. Then, I changed something on my schedule and it got all messed up again.

School is worth the mess-ups because if we go through school, then we can become smarter, succeed, and exceed in the world ahead of us. I am super excited for the future and what lies ahead.

Now, I have the hang of it, and the only thing that is stressful is the work in the classes. But, I can handle that.

I love all my classes, although I do wish my English II class was a bit more challenging. With things that are more difficult to write and read. English has always been my favorite class.

School is super fun. I get to see friends, talk with teachers, write more, and just be around people in general. I love being around people because I love feeding off people’s energy and seeing people have fun. That is one of the best things about being around people, seeing them have fun.

So, school has started again and the halls are filled with people ready to move on into the next chapter of life. Have a wonderful year, MV!
