Romans 12:2 “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is his good, pleasing, and perfect will.” Having faith that transforms means trusting God to renew your mind and reshape your heart. As you turn your actions toward God, you lay the foundation for a life aligned with God’s good and perfect will, a life filled with purpose, hope, and true fulfillment.
Throughout my life, I’ve faced many challenges, from losing family members to dealing with unhealthy friendships and relationships, all of which have led me to bad habits and poor decisions. At the same time, I tried to handle my sorrows on my own. I often wanted to pursue a relationship with God, but I felt afraid of being judged by the worldly people around me. Even though I was raised in church and always believed in God, I never truly had a deep-rooted relationship with Him.
Over the past two years, this began to change. I devoted my life to Christ, and I distanced myself from the people I never truly needed. Having the faith I possess now is more valuable than any life I could ever create for myself. Though this journey is far from perfect and filled with inevitable trials, there is an unshakable peace in knowing that God is the ultimate truth. In every season, whether marked by joy or hardship, there is a comfort in trusting His timing is flawless and His will is always for my good. No matter what unfolds, this faith anchors me in assurance that everything happens according to His perfect plan.
Just as Romans 12:2 reminds us, life becomes far more meaningful when it is fully devoted to Christ. When one builds one’s foundation on Him, they have something unshakable to fall back on, no matter what challenges arise. Now that my life is being guided in the right direction, my eyes have been opened to this truth, and I can clearly see that a life centered on faith is richer, stronger, and more fulfilling than anything the world could offer.
