People are often scared of committing to the Lord because they feel like they need to be perfect. I’m here to assure you that is not the case; in Ecclesiastes 7:20, it states, “Indeed, there is no one on Earth who is righteous, no one who does good and never sins.” God doesn’t expect us to be perfect; he just wants a genuine relationship with us. Sinning isn’t about wanting to sin, but choosing not to, but instead to love Him so much that we lose the desire to sin.
Being a Christian isn’t just going to church on Sundays. It’s about trusting Him through the rough times, trusting that it is for a reason and that He has a plan for you, but again, having a RELATIONSHIP with Him. Many Christians agree with the saying “Relationship over religion” because having a relationship with God gives a personal connection, a unique walk with Christ, and freedom. On the contrary, religion is just following the “rules” that are made and just going through the motions to get it over with instead of doing it for a purpose.
God expects us to make mistakes. He knew every sin we would commit in our lives, so that is why he sent his one and only son, Jesus Christ, to die for our sins to forgive us and set us free.
